Title: Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Leadership Giving Officer Position Type: Staff Full-Time Days Per Week: Monday-Friday Hours Per Week: 40 VP Area: University Advancement Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Leadership Giving Officer (LGO) is a key position in the Office of Annual Giving responsible for developing relationships with Elon alumni, working to ultimately solicit and close leadership annual gifts to meet the university's key priorities. The Assistant Director & LGO is additionally responsible for the supervision of at least one coordinator of annual giving focused on portfolio engagement. They work with the Director and other leadership to develop and execute new giving initiatives and lead all aspects of the 50th Golden Alumni reunion. Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Must have a minimum of three years related experience and/or training in fundraising or volunteer management. Job Duties: Fundraising: Executes a strategic approach to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward our alumni as partners, advocates, and investors. Directly manage a portfolio of 200+ alumni by encouraging them to stay connected, informed and involved; recruiting and expanding Elon's professional network; and encouraging Elon Society level annual gifts ($1,500 - $25,000) leadership annual giving. Annually develop a list of goals and objectives focused primarily on visits, leadership annual gifts, dollars raised, and other strategic activities. Contribute to the success of Elon University's giving day, Elon Day, and a diverse set of annual giving solicitation efforts through the management of reunion volunteers, direct outreach, preparation of multi-channel communications and other duties as assigned. Operations: Directly coordinate the 50th Golden Alumni class reunion, including identifying, recruiting, training and soliciting volunteers for the reunion committee, assisting committee with planning of celebratory events, overseeing marketing plan and timeline for reunion communications, implementing and executing reunion events in collaboration with Elon's Office of Alumni Engagement. Support Elon University events and projects and utilize technology that includes Raisers Edge, Elon's internal database, to run queries and exports to support reunions, annual giving fundraising initiatives, prospect management, etc. Communications and Engagement: Connect with alumni prospects based on Advancement and University priorities through email, social media, mailings, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings. Maintain regular contact with reunion volunteers, provide exceptional resources for alumni volunteers involved in outreach, and respond promptly to all inquiries regarding giving campaigns or class reunions. Management and Budget: Lead, manage and motivate the coordinator of annual giving focused on reunions and alumni portfolio engagement. Contribute to management of Annual Giving budget, tracking expenses and reporting on ROI of various activities.
