LHH is partnering with a mid-sized company that is looking for a strong AP professional to step in and help lead their team. This role would report to the AP Manager, but you would become the leader for the team and would handle escalations and any improvement projects for the department. You will still process invoices and handle some of the vendors, so the team is looking for someone with at least five years of AP experience. Also, you need to be able to get along with others and communicate professionally since you will be coordinating with internal and external customers. Responsibilities: Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring timely payment and resolution of any discrepancies. Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Maintain positive relationships with vendors; respond to inquiries and resolve payment issues efficiently. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing any discrepancies. Generate and analyze reports related to accounts payable activity and provide insights to management. Mentor and train junior accounts payable staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function and implement best practices. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. At least five years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Employment Details: Fully onsite in Seattle, WA. Direct hire. Fully covered medical, dental, vision benefits. 401k. PTO and sick time.
