We are looking for a full-time AR Billing & Collection Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you will take charge of the end-to-end billing process for our Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Physical Therapy (PT) clients, working to resolve claims efficiently and identify opportunities to improve collections. If you have experience with ABA billing & collections and are eager to grow with us, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Need: Education: High School Diploma preferred. Experience: 2+ years of recent AR medical billing experience required Experience with Raintree EMS (1 year preferred) Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end billing process for ABA and PT patients, providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients. Analyze and resolve reimbursement issues preventing the collection of outstanding AR. Investigate denials promptly to reduce future occurrences. Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve denied claims through corrected claim submissions, disputes, and appeals. Document all follow-up activities for each claim in detail. Handle correspondence via mail, fax, and bank lockbox. Meet key performance targets as defined by management. Recommend write-offs for accounts that do not meet payer guidelines. Collaborate with third-party agencies to resolve outstanding AR, as needed. Identify trends or issues impacting billing and bring them to management's attention. Respond to patient inquiries and work with internal teams (front desk, call center, etc.) to resolve denials. Process refund requests and verify credit balances. Stay updated on payer policies and billing standards. Assist with new hire training and support onboarding as needed. Perform payment reconciliation and special projects as assigned.
