SUMMARY: The Facilities and Maintenance Mechanic installs, maintains, and repairs production and facility equipment ensuring the business performs to the highest standards. The successful candidate will have a hands-on troubleshooting approach and experienced with preventive/reactive maintenance activities associated with manufacturing, facility, and utility equipment/systems. The candidate must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, successfully work with facilities/maintenance mechanics, and be able to influence/develop relationships with internal departments and external vendors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prioritize tasks accordingly and effectively. Complete preventive/reactive maintenance activities for utility and manufacturing equipment/systems. Ensure information is tracked using information systems and/CMMS to provide a record of all activities. Resolve process equipment issues in a timely manner. Escalate all issues as needed in a timely manner to mitigate down-time. Follow all personal and product safety procedures compliant to Robertet standards. Understand and execute all necessary requirements for regulatory compliance (i.e., ISO 9001, SQF, CFR 21 Part 117, etc.). Ability to be on-call 24/7 for any facility issues (i.e., equipment breakdowns, facility alarms, etc.) All duties/responsibilities assigned by manager based on business needs. COMPETENCIES: Experienced with reading blueprints, schematics, manuals, etc. for troubleshooting. Knowledgeable with compressed air, dust collection/vacuum, HVAC systems, water systems, boilers, refrigeration, environmentally controlled storage rooms, chemical storage tanks, mixers, pumps, process sensors (temperature, level, flow, pH, etc.) and other facility infrastructure systems (i.e., building management systems). Expertise with troubleshooting utility and process equipment used for fragrance and ingredients manufacturing. Possess a can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and team player mentality. Detailed-oriented, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal skills to include clear verbal/written communication. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: High school diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of facilities/maintenance experience within a fragrance, pharmaceutical, or food-grade manufacturing site. Fluency in English Must have facilities and maintenance experience within regulated environments. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365). Preferred: 2-year college degree with 4+ years of facilities/maintenance experience within a fragrance and ingredients manufacturing site. Experienced with CMMS software (i.e., eMAINT, Maximo, etc.) WORK ENVIRONMENT: On-site schedule required. All internal and exterior areas of the buildings. Work in refrigerated areas down to -10 degrees F. Work in heated areas up to 125 degrees F Moderate to extensive time required in warehouse and manufacturing environments with exposure to noise, dust, and odors. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position typically involves moderate to extensive physical activity, including standing, bending, and walking during various times of the day.
