Position: Sr. Electrical Engineer Location: Toledo Refinery, Oregon, OH Employment Type: Full-time, on-site Company Summary: The company is one of the largest independent petroleum refiners and suppliers in the United States, providing unbranded transportation fuels, heating oil, petrochemical feedstocks, lubricants, and other petroleum products. They have refineries located across California, Delaware, Louisiana, New Jersey, and Ohio. Position Summary: prominent North American refining company is seeking a talented Sr. Electrical Engineer to join its Reliability team. This pivotal role will support critical engineering projects and deliver effective troubleshooting for optimal plant operation. Key Responsibilities: • Perform electrical engineering services to support the Reliability team in day-to-day operations. • Provide technical troubleshooting and monitoring for operational units. • Conduct data analysis, prepare technical reports, and lead root cause failure analyses for incident investigations. • Support safety management programs, ensuring compliance with health and environmental standards. • Execute project evaluations, focusing on cost efficiency and profitability optimization. • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and define scopes of work for repairs. • Support off-shift troubleshooting as needed and assist with Client Total Distributed Control (TDC) system maintenance. • Play an integral role in planned shutdowns by creating scopes of work and supporting maintenance needs. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • Must have refinery background experience • minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant engineering role. • Strong troubleshooting skills, proficiency in data analysis, and familiarity with incident investigation processes. • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles in an industrial setting. • Familiarity with Client TDC systems is advantageous. • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
