Apogee is actively seeking a full-time Systems Engineer, SME supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) at Ft Meade, MD . What you will be doing: Assess and identify opportunities and technological capabilities across the NC3 Enterprise, interface with industry, DoD mission partners, and academia, and provide specific recommendations for the NEC SE&I (e.g., reports, papers, briefings). Conduct mission engineering studies to guide decisions focused on the end-to-end mission to identify new or enhanced capabilities and provide impacts of performance levels on NC3 systems. Provide high-level communication systems subject matter expertise, including terrestrial and satellite communication systems, and associated technologies to support the NC3 Enterprise. Prepare technical reports, studies, and related documentation (charts, graphs, presentations) to apply engineering and threat impact assessments for developing, evaluating, and sustaining NC3 systems. Assess new technologies and innovations to develop technical recommendations that ensure the integrity and continuity of operations supporting evolving NC3 requirements. Provide NC3 communication system technical expertise to the NC3 enterprise regarding signal propagation, modeling and simulation, test and design, and system development. Minimum Requirements: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret w/ SCI Eligibility Education: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field Years of experience: 10+ years' relevant experience providing RF technical expertise, systems and design analysis, and implementation and integration via technical reports, presentations, briefings, and training Ability to work well within a team and to execute tasks independently Strong written and oral communication skills Strong command of MS Office suite tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred Requirements: Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and experience regarding NC3 requirements, operations, and procedures and proven ability to prepare NC3 analysis, documentation, and reports. Ability to apply principles, methods, and knowledge of NC3 systems Benefits: Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,00 - $216,000 across the U.S. There is a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.
