Civista Bank Description: Position Purpose: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for a variety of tasks as it relates to loans for customers of the Bank. Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Expectations: Provide various loan support functions. Duties may include the following: Servicing closed loans, payment processing, primary or back up to various loan maintenance, customer insurance support, vault support and system (Jack Henry Silverlake) support. Customer service using various methods, answering phone, emails, and letters. Maintain regular contact with the Loan Operations Coordinator regarding the status of various issues being encountered, guidance on Department compliance and customer service issues, as well as the status of other assigned projects. Assist other loan operations staff on assigned tasks as required, to alleviate backlogs and/or to meet established deadlines as it pertains to commercial, consumer, or mortgage loans. Provides administrative support as needed and required. To maintain regular contact with the Coordinator regarding the status of operational and customer service issues. To respond to customer (internal/external) questions in a timely, professional and efficient manner regarding all loans related issues. To process loan activities according to prescribed departmental procedures To perform accounting/reconciliation activities To compile monthly/quarterly/annual data for reports for Internal and External sources To perform file maintenance and transactions on accounts as necessary To interact with System's support personnel to resolve technical loan operation's questions. To perform duties as assigned by Department Team Lead Requirements: Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: One to two years of office administrative experience. A solid working knowledge of the Jack Henry Silverlake loan system is desirable. Previous experience in Accounting, Business, or Finance is desired. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters of purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion and which may be of a sensitive or personal nature. Good Working knowledge of banking industry practices relative to bank loan operations with respect to loan products, services, policies and procedures as required for the job; Computer literate (Microsoft Office) with accurate data entry skills and strong level of skill working with spreadsheets (creating formulas) and ability to navigate key industry specific Internet sites; A high level of initiative, thoroughness, and accuracy with good organizational skills required. Must be detail oriented. Solid communication and organizational skills with focus on teamwork and cooperation; Ability to work under deadlines with frequent interruption; ability to balance multiple projects/activities with varying deadlines; Confidentiality required Experience using OnBase software is desired. Physical Requirements: Work involves eye strain due to the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports, alphabetizing and filing. Work involves sitting, standing, moving, lifting, reading, writing, speaking, communicating. Work involves the ability to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions. Work involves lifting and moving loan files of up to 30 lbs.
