Position Summary LMHS is seeking a dedicated accounting professional to join its Fiscal Services team. A primary goal of Fiscal Services is to provide timely and accurate financial information to help Leadership make informed decisions, and the Accountant role is a critical part of this effort. The individual who fills this role will participate in a broad range of not-for-profit accounting and other financial management tasks. Responsibilities Work in various areas of not-for-profit accounting, maintaining adherence to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Participate in the annual audit and perform various internal audit functions Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements Perform deposits and log donations Assist with contract and billing process for non-patient business relationships Complete reports for governmental agencies, such as US Census Bureau and 1099 filings Gather and submit information for Insurance RFPs Participate in the property tax exemption process for LMHS buildings Contract management of new and existing credit card merchant accounts Various other tasks, such as: support AP as needed, wire transfers, oversee the gift card process, oversee unclaimed funds process, etc. Requirements A general knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred CPA license, or interest in pursuing CPA license, preferred Ability to learn and maintain competence with LMH accounting software and various other technologies including Microsoft Excel. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
