Clearance Level - Must Be Able to Obtain Top Secret U.S. Person Required Yes Travel Percentage 10% Clearance Level - Must Currently Possess None Career Level Experienced Is Relocation Available Yes Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED #LI-NP1 You will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity Specialist tasked with developing, consulting, and maintaining authorization for software solutions supporting DoD Biosciences initiatives. This role involves crafting software for internal research and developing new products for military operations, focusing on innovative software and architectural solutions. The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers' missions. What You'll Do: Act as a subject matter expert in advising on Risk Management Framework (RMF) strategies and NIST 800-53 security controls. Lead in consulting and technical leadership roles, focusing on Cybersecurity project design, development, and implementation. Build strategic relationships with Sales Management and lead in cyber security strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to define government security solutions, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53, DISA, and DoD policies. Develop comprehensive security documentation and support systems throughout the RMF process. Analyze and coordinate mitigations for vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and CSSP identified issues. Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration; mentor team members to enhance their skills. Provide technical assessments for hiring and advise on technology strategies for client engagements. Engage in industry events as a speaker and contribute to industry publications. Manage development priorities and stakeholder expectations with clear communication. Spearhead initiatives to meet compliance and security standards, advocating for best practices in DoD cybersecurity. Drive innovation and strategic partnerships, maintaining a forefront position in cybersecurity solutions. Encourage a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth within the team. Actively contribute to the broader cybersecurity community through thought leadership and industry participation. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree plus 2 or more years related experience. Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. 1 year in Information System Assurance/Cybersecurity. 1 year of Federal/DoD experience. Eligibility for DoD/OPM Secret or Top-Secret Clearance. Ability to obtain DoDM 8140.03 (DoDD 8570.01-M) IAT Level III or IAM Level II/III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent). A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Cybersecurity courses and experience. Experience with evaluating/designing/hardening/testing/maintaining secure cloud hosted systems. Familiarity with one or more of the following AWS, Azure, Google government cloud environments, architectures and applications. Experience with secure mobile apps and environments with cloud access. Preparation, submission, remediation of RMF packages using eMASS, Xacta or similar cybersecurity management tools. Evaluating/planning/developing/implementing cyberspace capabilities, techniques, and procedures in accordance with operational requirements. Experience successfully interfacing with internal and external customers, such as other ISSM, ISSO, ISSE, SCA, SCAR or Program Manager. Certifications for C EH, LPT, ECSA, ITIL, or similar equivalent. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $68700.000 - $116800.000
