The Market Segment Manager - Printing and Packaging Solutions (PPS) plays a key role in defining and developing targeted printing and packaging segments for our PPS applications. This position involves identifying unique value propositions, driving innovation that resonates with our packaging and paper customers, and fostering valuable customer insights to enhance market share. The focus includes optimizing our current product range, spearheading new product innovations, and offering technical expertise to clients. Additionally, the Market Segment Manager will oversee projects from initial concept through to launch and implementation. What you'll do: Market Segmentation: Define and develop targeted market segments within the Packaging and Paper Industries for the Print and Packaging Solutions team. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and market gaps. Create a clear segment assortment strategy that achieves market penetration and drives growth of sales. Collaborate with marketing to develop market position and messaging for PPS assortment. Create and execute marketing strategies for product launches and assortment highlights. Conduct market analysis of competitors products and pricing. Collaborate with management team to create sales enablement tools. Product Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing performance evaluation. Collaborate with TD/PD and marketing teams to develop and refine product offerings, including defining product requirements for new business cases. Monitor product performance and make recommendations for improvements or new product development based on market feedback. Review and maintain a process for managing and reducing blocked stock. Technical Sales Assistance: Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team and customers, ensuring a thorough understanding of product capabilities. Assist in developing sales strategies and tools to effectively communicate product benefits to customers. Conduct training sessions for sales representatives and customers on product features and applications. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemistry, or materials science or equivalent (MBA is a plus). 5+ years of combined marketing and/or product segment experience. Demonstrated strong analytical skills. Must have strong strategic thinking, organizational and critical thinking skills with a bias towards action. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel, and experience with CRM software packages. Must be able and willing to travel 50%. Comfort working across borders is a must. Valid passport required. Ability to speak another language is a plus.
