The position of Regional Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for assisting and facilitating efforts to continually improve and standardize business processes, identify and implement best practices, and establish metrics on the shop floor. The Continuous Improvement Leader works with both shop floor and administrative employees in addressing opportunities for continuous improvement, and will be expected to apply the principles of Lean Manufacturing to improve processes, product quality, and employee knowledge. Duties and Responsibilities: Champion, Mentor, and facilitate standardization processes. Communicate and support the strategic vision, principals, and annual objectives across the organization ensuring course correction and alignment is continuously taking place. Integrate leadership skills with Lean Manufacturing principals and expertise to guide and train employees at all levels of the organization in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. Develop standards for all aspects of an operation: operator training, process parameters, process supplies, equipment condition, task performance, and product quality. With input from employees and managers, assist in the identification and implementation of the best practice for each operation or process. Ensure that appropriate and adequate training of personnel is conducted and maintained. Identify and eliminate waste in processes and practices. Facilitate Kaizen events and train employees regarding the benefits of a standardized and disciplined approach to the job. Audit operations and processes for strict adherence to standard practices. Assist in the resolution of production, equipment, and system problems, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Assist in the revision and development of standard work. Benchmark against other internal and external companies. Sell the value of continuous improvement to your assigned plants. Minimum Job Requirements: Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree preferred Experience: A minimum of 5 year of experience in a manufacturing setting. 3 years of CI/Process Improvement activities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead. Proven ability to work well in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with all levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to teach/mentor/coach others. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word) and Internet applications. Must be able to travel 25 - 50% of the time within the USA/Canada. Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, darkness, and/or noise. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness and humidity. Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards. Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette. Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H.
