We are seeking Technical Architects who will design, develop, and implement solutions for our nonprofit clients. Our technical solutions amplify their mission impact: that's the Idealist Way. How You'll Contribute Design and develop scalable and maintainable solutions on the Salesforce platform Lead technical design and development efforts for projects, including the creation of technical design documents and leading code reviews Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions Act as a subject matter expert in Salesforce, providing guidance and best practices to the development team Build integrations between external systems and Salesforce Assist with migration of client's current CRM data to Salesforce and create custom code as needed Create and maintain a library of reusable code for future project deployments Provide guidance and best practices around Salesforce development for both clients and staff Review project requirements and work with consultants and project managers to refine the technical details of project specifications Develop and document user instructions and administrative maintenance requirements for use in Salesforce customizations Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and best practices for Salesforce and other relevant platforms What You Bring to the Table At least 5 years of experience working with the Salesforce platform, with a strong understanding of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and other Salesforce technologies Salesforce Administrator Certification Additional Certifications (e.g. Technical Architect, Platform Developer) preferred Experience working with nonprofit organizations and familiarity with nonprofit business processes Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills What You Can Expect Communication: clear, respectful communications and expectations setting Flexibility: as a contract Consultant, you define your own availability Community: our Consultants thrive with mutual knowledge building in multiple support channels and optional monthly Consultant meeting Common purpose: We help amplify the mission impact of nonprofits and other progressive organizations $80 - $100 an hour Contractor hourly rates are set based on experience, certifications, and specialization. Idealist Consulting reviews all contractor rate bands at least once annually. Independent contractors define their own availability and capacity. Contractors are not employees of Idealist Consulting and are therefore not eligible for benefits such as healthcare coverage and paid time off. Independent contractors are required to carry their own professional liability insurance policy.
