Job Type Full-time Description PROGRAM(S): IRCO Administration REPORTS TO: IT Lead and Information Systems/IT Director OPENING DATE: June 10th, 2024 CLOSING DATE: Open until filled. GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Specialistposition provides technical support for IRCO staff in IT devices and applications including network and servers. As a part of the IT team at IRCO, this position requires a range of responsibilities from Microsoft Office platform management as well configuring/managing computers and computing infrastructure. Technical problem solving are needed. Training opportunities and to work on IT projects in cloud computing/infrastructure to grow IT skills/learning exist. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: A successful candidate for the IT Specialist will be able to perform following duties and responsibilities: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network related problems by client systems (PCs, Microsoft 365, Phones and network) Identify solutions to improve IT methods and system improvements Microsoft Cloud solutions (Teams, SharePoint, Office Apps, OneDrive) Provide IT helpdesk supports to IRCO staff and closing issues. Evaluate IT methods for Azure Cloud and documentation of procedures. Work with IRCO departments/team to deploy new IT solutions. Identify cyber security risks proactively and support staff to close gaps. Assist in installing IT equipment and configure management infrastructure (Clients, servers, network, printers...) SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Carry out IT methodology improvement projects with project planning. Provide IT training to IRCO users for Microsoft Office applications and use of the computers. Able to perform basic automation steps through Microsoft platform scripting. Requirements JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Knowledge of Computer Hardware, Servers, Networking (VPN, Firewall) Knowledge with configuring Device OS/Applications/ management software. Basic knowledge of Scripting/ programming and Cloud Computing Knowledge and experience in working in MS-Office Environment Technical problem solving and debugging skills with IT equipment and applications. Knowledge on how to manage IT accounts and applications and network. Working experience with Cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure is preferred. KNOWLEDGE: Education: Bachelor's Degree (4) Experience: Less than one year of experience is required (2) Computers: All positions at IRCO require use of a computer and experience working with Microsoft Products including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. SKILLS: Communication: Frequent communication inside the organization to communicate organizational direction (6) Creativity: Minimal need for the redesign of single focus process or procedure is needed (2) EFFORT: Mental: There is regular variation in tasks and the job holder must decide which tasks to complete as well as the order in which tasks are completed (3) Physical: Positions at this level require some physical efforts or manual labor such as lifting, carrying or constant movement. Ability to forecast for the near future (six to twelve months) is required (3) Supervision: Positions at this level are not responsible for any supervisory functions or responsibilities, but may occasionally be asked to orient and/or train new employees or volunteers.
