Partnered with our vending, equipment, and marketing divisions, we supply c-stores, offices, factories, schools, and other businesses with a variety of inventory and support services. Our expertise in logistics backed by our warehouse operation ensures fast and efficient delivery of the products our customers need. Position Purpose: As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful and timely delivery of our products to customers while providing excellent customer service. This is a non-CDL position. Team Modern operates in multiple states including Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, Ohio, and North Carolina. Essential Functions Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers, following designated routes and schedules. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, ensuring all orders are delivered in their entirety. Adhere to all state and local traffic laws as well as Team Modern's safety guidelines. Complete check-in procedures accurately to ensure proper handling of customer products. Document and submit all paperwork and payments on a daily basis. Utilize a 26' straight box truck, two-wheel dolly, and/or manual pallet jack for product transportation. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck, documenting any issues electronically. Utilize technology such as ELD (Electronic Logging Device) and dash cameras to comply with DOT regulations and monitor driving behavior. Work in varying traffic and weather conditions, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Wear designated uniforms every working day, which consists of company-provided polos and hat and self -purchased black pants or shorts. Any additional task assigned by manager; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Ideal Candidate Profile: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old (DOT) and have a valid driver's license. Proven work history with non-CDL delivery experience. Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate product unloading and check-in procedures. Familiarity with using navigation systems/apps while driving. Strong adherence to safety guidelines, including the prohibition of handheld devices while operating a company vehicle. Ability to work long hours (10-12 hours per day) with the potential for longer days initially based on performance. Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Dependable and punctual, arriving on time for work and ready to depart for assigned routes. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers. Must pass a drug screening, background check, and pre-employment workplace physical examination. Additional Information Schedule: Monday - Friday; Start times vary between 1:00am-5:00am and are dependent on route assignment. Occasional Saturday work may be required when routes are rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions. If assigned a four-day workweek route, you will be scheduled as "on-call" one day per week, with the expectation of covering routes if needed. There is potential for one overnight route per week to meet routing needs. Physical Demands:The employee must be able to lift 75lbs on a repetitive basis with the aid of a two-wheel hand truck (dolly) and have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, walk up and down a ramp, and climb a step ladder on a frequent basis. Working Conditions: Daily travel throughout assigned territory starting from our Corporate location in Somerset, Kentucky in varying traffic and weather conditions. Benefit & Wage Information: Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 annually. Two-week training period with an initial pay rate of $15/hour, then guaranteed minimum weekly earnings of $700.00 after successfully completing the Driver Certification exam. Certified Team Modern Drivers earn commission pay plus mileage pay for each completed route. Monthly performance bonus available based on meeting certain conditions in the prior month.
