Join us in the Corporate Advisory & Banking Analyst Program Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for our Corporate Advisory & Banking (CAB) Analyst Program. This is an 18-month program during which the analyst pool supports CAB professionals in providing corporate finance advice and capital to substantial, privately held businesses. With a focus on building long-term relationships, CAB approaches each situation as an objective advisor without bias for a particular outcome. CAB is comprised of the Corporate Advisory Group (CAG), Corporate Lending, and Commodities & Logistics Lending (C&L) groups. Analysts assume a hands-on role in a team environment and get broad exposure to internal teams and executives, as well as to external parties such as clients, senior business executives and intermediaries. CAG advises owner-operators and family-owned businesses on mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and other strategic or corporate finance opportunities Corporate Lending provides value-added capital to privately held companies based in the U.S. with excellent credit profiles; primary credit products include commercial loans and tax-exempt financing/industrial revenue bonds C&L provides capital and advice to leading privately held businesses and their owners in the commodities and logistics industries, particularly in the agriculture, metal, and energy markets Areas of Responsibility: Perform financial analysis, including building financial models, and valuation analysis (comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, and leveraged buyout analysis) Prepare due diligence materials through conducting company and industry research Develop client presentations assessing a client's business, growth prospects, industry insights, valuation perspectives, and strategic alternatives Provide written credit analysis to underwrite new and existing credits and assist in structuring new and existing credit facilities Prepare presentations for periodic meetings with the Corporate Credit Committee, comprised of senior BBH executives, and Partners of the Firm Interface with business owners, company executives, and intermediaries Desired Skills: A BA degree or equivalent, with a competitive GPA; ideal candidates will come from undergraduate classes of Strong analytical, organizational, and written/oral communication skills A curious mindset and exceptional attention to detail Ability to articulate complex ideas simply and summarize them effectively Previous, demonstrated work experience in analytically demanding fields (e.g., investment banking, commercial lending, management consulting, FP&A, or similar) Basic understanding of corporate finance, accounting, finance/economics, and related subjects (via college courses and/or previous internship experience in these subjects) Strong understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, genetic information, creed, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other protected status under federal, state or local law. Salary Range $95,000 BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
