Job Description: Hilco Global is a leading international financial services company that has completed billions of dollars of transactions around the world. Hilco Commercial & Industrial LLC (HCI) is an operating unit within the Hilco family that deploys capital through on-going concern acquisitions, elongated wind-downs, special situations and equipment finance lending, and asset monetization. Its primary partners are retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and manufacturers, connected both directly and through their lenders, investors and advisors. Responsibilities: The Managing Director will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing commercial loan portfolios, particularly in the equipment lending space. This is a ground floor opportunity to help build out the lending platform for substantial portfolio growth in partnership with the Commercial & Industrial Executive Team. The candidate must be a motivated individual and have a range of experience and skills. See below: Develop and implement credit and lending strategies that align with Hilco's focus on commercial and industrial sectors. Establish and enforce credit policies and procedures that effectively manage risk associated with asset-based lending. Monitor the performance of the loan portfolio and implement necessary risk mitigation plans. Ensure compliance with relevant federal and state regulations pertaining to lending. Develop, lead, mentor a high-performing credit and lending team. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and partners in the commercial and industrial sectors. Prepare high quality, detailed but concise credit approval documents that contain an in-depth analysis and highlight the identified credit issues, risks and mitigants. Lead due diligence process during credit approval process including taking part in stakeholder meetings, ordering and interpreting third party reporting such as field exams, appraisals and valuations. Lead closing of commercial loans in adherence to Company's policy and procedures including coordinating with legal counsel to ensure legal documentation conforms to credit approvals and assisting all internal partners in the onboarding process. Equipment Lending is a Plus. Formal credit training and detailed knowledge of asset-based lending underwriting, operational procedures and borrowing base mechanics. Ability to interpret financial statements with an understanding of how to apply asset-based principles to the overall client solution. Strong analytical skills and understanding of credit risk assessment in the context of commercial and Industrial assets. Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. Knowledge of commercial lending regulations and compliance requirements. Superior organizational and time management skills and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Ability to travel as needed Hilco Global is an equal opportunity employer.
