FOUNDING ENGINEER (FULL STACK) FINTECH STARTUP NYC (HYBRID) $150,000 - $180,000 + EQUITY THE COMPANY We are working with an exciting fintech startup that is revolutionizing financial management in the film industry. Their platform provides fintech solutions to streamline expenses during film productions, allowing companies to easily manage finances for everything from equipment rentals to catering. This growing startup is looking for a Founding Engineer to improve their infrastructure and help take their platform to the next level. THE ROLE - FOUNDING ENGINEER In this role, you will work directly with the technical founder, building on an existing platform and improving it to meet the growing demands of the business. This position requires someone who is self-sufficient, able to mentor and hire in the future, and passionate about the film industry. Key responsibilities include: Improving and scaling the platform while working on other innovative products. Using Typescript, Javascript, React, AWS, and Node to enhance the current infrastructure. Working at a fast pace, improving existing features rather than building from scratch. Collaborating closely with the founder to ensure smooth, scalable development. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Expertise in Typescript, Javascript, React, AWS, and Node. Proven experience building and scaling platforms. Ability to work independently and as part of a small, hands-on team. Interest and passion for the film industry or the fintech space. Experience in a financial startup environment is a plus. Experience mentoring junior engineers. THE BENEFITS Competitive base salary of $150,000 - $180,000 depending on experience, plus equity in the company.
