We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to help build and scale the accounting function to support the increased growth of the business. Reporting to the Controller, this role will be responsible for managing all aspects of GL accounting and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. To succeed in the role, the ideal candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, work well with a cross-functional and dynamic team, and have a great attitude. What will you do? Lead the execution of the month-end close process, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial reporting in a timely manner Provide oversight and review of core accounting operations including technical accounting, equity, international accounting, accounts payable, and procurement Manage, develop, and coach a strong team, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Optimize existing systems and help design planned integrations to scale operations and accelerate our month-end close timeline Own our annual financial statement audit with a Big 4 firm. Serve as a key liaison with auditors and external consultants, and manage the drafting of the annual financial statements Perform technical accounting research and prepare/review technical memorandums that document issues and conclusions in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner. Help to build and maintain a comprehensive policy and procedures manual for all accounting and financial reporting functions Establish strong relationships with cross-functional peers, becoming a change agent for implementing new insights and process improvements with an eye towards internal controls What are we looking for? CPA with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a management role. Public accounting experience is highly preferred In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation, with SaaS accounting and industry knowledge a plus Proficiency in evaluating, implementing, and optimizing the accounting tech stack. NetSuite experience required, with Airbase, Carta, FloQast, and/or CapIQ experience a plus Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across functions and levels throughout the company Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big-picture strategic understanding Last but not least, you're enthusiastic about building great teams and have a great attitude! This is a hybrid role, expected to be in our San Francisco office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions.
