Data Engineer

Calibro Corp. is seeking a Data Engineer for a 100% remote, long-term contract role to support our client's development of a Common Data Platform (CDP), a comprehensive cloud-based data management and analytics solution. This position is crucial for enhancing delivery capacity through expert consulting in data engineering. Key Requirements: Primary experience with the following: Immuta, Starburst Secondary Experience : Databricks, Collibra, and/or Alteryx. Data Governance and Security: Experience with data governance, security, and analytics within modern data architectures. Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of data privacy laws such as GDPR or CCPA, and their implementation SQL Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly with Starburst (if applicable) as a distributed SQL engine. Query Optimization: Experience optimizing complex queries Modern Data Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Distributed Data Systems: Knowledge of data lakes, warehouses, and their interaction with different tools Programming: Proficiency in Python or Java for custom integrations or automations. Data Pipelines: Experience building and managing data pipelines that integrate governance and analytics
