Our growing company is a top supplier of fasteners to several Fortune 500 companies Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Military Sales Manager to join our team. The Military Sales Manager is responsible for the following: Responsibilities: Develops, and controls program for government sales of equipment, materials, products, or services. Establish effective business contacts with government agencies to establish volume potential, price schedules, discount rates, and shipping schedules. Negotiates contracts with the government, and requests amendments to or extensions of contracts within authorized limits. Assigns sales territory to sales personnel. Provide site specific customer relationship within military sites. These customers will generally represent current sales greater than $100K and / or accounts and customers having a significant strategic impact on the organization. This includes initiating the relationship, developing existing accounts (account penetration), and supporting enhanced contract growth (maintaining and enhancing account relationships). Lead the selling process and associated efforts including establishment of contract scope, alignment of company value proposition, organizational coordination, supplier integration and implementation. To develop a meaningful measurement methodology to ensure compliance to contracts with strategic accounts. To develop, expand, and maintain agreements that deliver strong revenue growth within our value proposition while improving profitability above expected plan performance. Must Haves: Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required. Examine estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy. Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals, and advises dealers and distributors concerning sales advertising techniques. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist dealers in promoting sales. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the company. Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales. Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements. Advise planning and production departments of contractual rights and obligations. Act as liaison between company and subcontractors. Recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. Helping IT maintain compliance with CMMC standards and handling / filing controlled data. Developing business using military websites.
