The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties for our site in Amherst, NY. This professional will work closely with plant management and the company HR team. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas employee relations, training, performance management, recruitment/employment, employment law compliance, benefits, and HR administrative tasks. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conducts recruitment effort for all personnel and temporary employees. Will work with schools on school-work programs as well as government agencies. • Handles site employee relations counseling. • Conduct and helps develop training programs as well as maintain training records. • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all plant personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. • Performs benefits administration as needed. • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed. • Works closely and shares best practices with HR Managers across all Brook & Whittle locations. • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database. • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. • Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field. • At least three to five years of human resources experience in plant operations or human resource management. • MBA preferred. • SPHR or PHR desired. • Proficient with Computer Systems, Microsoft Office +Social Media.
