Our client, Zinman & Company (Southampton, PA), is regarded as a top accounting firm, providing professional accounting and bookkeeping services, as well as, comprehensive and expedient business tax services. Zinman & Company is seeking a Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant to join the existing team, serving the needs of business clients by computing, classifying, recording, and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions. This role will also be responsible for processing and reviewing weekly and biweekly payroll for our client base. This is not a remote position. Duties & Tasks May Include: 1.Balance and maintain accurate ledgers. 2.Monitor expenses and enter cash receipts. 3.Process AP by matching purchase orders with vendor invoices, preparing checks/payments, and tracking bank account balances. 4.Review and reconcile franchise financial records. 5.Process AR by scanning and depositing checks, coordinating bank deposits, and reporting financial results. 6.Log into client accounts (ie: on line banking, credit card accounts, broker accounts) to search for transactions, gather data, and download statements. 7.Reconcile and balance accounts. 8.Prepare and process client payroll. 9.Calculate and prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating, and business taxes. 10.Run monthly financial statements, including cash flow, P&L, trial balance, income statements, and balance sheets. 11.Assemble tax returns. 12.Contribute to the team effort and company profitability. Highly Qualified Candidates will possess most of the following: • High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree in accounting a plus, but not required. • 5+ years' experience working in general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and financial reporting. • Knowledge of bookkeeping and income tax worksheets. • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel. • Experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO). • Experience using payroll software. • Experience filing local returns on state websites, such as e-TIDES. • Experience with multi-client entities preferred. • Experience working with franchises preferred. • Ability to communicate with clients professionally, with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills./ • Accurate with a commitment to excellence, integrity, and confidentiality.
