Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. Status : Full Time Regular Shift: DAY SHIFT Department: Design & Development Position Summary Summary: The Healthcare Planning Coordinator will assist the Facilities departments in creating design and drawing deliverables for Mount Sinai South Nassau facilities and ancillary projects / locations. The Healthcare Planning Coordinator will also learn the fundamentals of Mount Sinai South Nassau design and planning, and will be expected to create plans for the completion of renovations of small scale in house projects. The Healthcare Planning Coordinator assists with departmental training and training/mentoring for Planning Team. Qualifications Responsibilities: Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • Bachelor's Degree required, with focus in Architecture, Engineering or related fields. Experience in healthcare design preferred. Experience And Skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • 1 to 5 years' exposure to facilities design, construction, renovation, development or project management experience or similar combination of education and experience. • E-Builder or similar Project Manager Information System (PMIS) experience is preferred. • Must be able to read blue prints, floor plans, and building plans. • Auto CAD or Revit experience required. • Experience in healthcare planning and construction preferred. • Demonstrates qualifications in budget development and management, space utilization, and program coordination. • Strong executive presence and presentation skills; strong verbal/written communication skills. • Ability to relate to executive level and department level healthcare executives. • Must be detail oriented, analytical and computer literate. • Demonstrated leadership/management skills. • Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices. License/Certifications • Current NYS Driver's License • HFDP (Healthcare Facility Design Professional) Certification preferred. • CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) certification preferred. Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn • Frequent strain due to construction and building job site conditions • Includes indoor and outdoor inspections, oversight and interactions 12 months a year; stair and ladder climbing to access construction, which is in progress, is required
