Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring customer transactions are handled in a prompt, professional manner. Supervises CSR Area Team including CSRs and Universal Bankers to achieve established departmental goals. Directly supervises daily activities of the CSR Area Team; delegates duties. Responsible for schedule and coverage. Approves transactions that exceed CSR limits and assists with complex transactions. Makes recommendations regarding the selection of new Team Members, salary increases, promotions and disciplinary action. Monitors performance, gives on-going performance feedback and conducts effective performance appraisals. Coaches, counsels and provides general direction and guidance to CSR Area staff. Conducts CSR Area meetings to review problems and introduce and explain changes in policies and procedures. Assists with training of new Team Members. Ensures CSR and vault cash is balanced daily. Researches and assists in correcting CSR balancing errors. Ensures CSR Area has necessary supplies and equipment is clean and in working condition. Requisitions official checks, money orders, gift cards, etc. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and bank policies and procedures. Recommends and administers policies and procedures for the department. Works with compliance officer to advise and inform CSRs of changes in policies and procedures. Responsible for annual CSR Audit and maintains audit controls and ensures no repeat violations. Resolves unusual or difficult customer problems, either directly or through cooperation with the appropriate area. Manages day-to-day operations of retail staff to achieve established goals. Manages day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with auditing procedures, policies and banking regulations Maintains prescribed security controls to protect the bank against unnecessary risk and exposure and criminal fraudulent operations. Makes recommendations regarding selection of new Retail Team Members, salary increases, promotions, disciplinary actions and terminations. Develops new business and expands existing relationships. Completes task necessary to open and close the branch. Gives ongoing feedback and conducts effective performance appraisals. Optimizes customer contacts to cross sell bank products and services. Originates consumer loans in compliance with bank policies, procedures and regulations. May be required to act in capacity of CSR, manage cash vault activity, service and reconcile ATM, oversees building and ground maintenance. Approves transactions that exceed CSR limits and assists with complex transactions. Researches and assists in correcting CSR balancing errors. Ensures the vault is open and CSRs are ready to conduct business. Assist and perform back-up duties for the Customer Branch Leader as needed. Open new accounts and close accounts according to bank procedures. Field calls on debit card issues, including increasing limits, researching/addressing potential fraudulent charges, lost cards, forgotten pins, putting on travel dates and places. Process IRA transactions. Assists with any training of new staff. Assist with special projects as assigned. Technical: Advanced knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Internet software. Proficient in Jack Henry, Deposit Pro. Position Performance Standards: CSR operations audit results are satisfactory or above for assigned branch. Ensure staff are performing at meets expectations or above, or performance management efforts are in place. Set goals and remove barriers for CSRs through training and coaching sessions. Meet annual sales goals. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), minimum two (2) year CSR area experience required, must have an understanding of CSR operations, procedures and regulations. Prior demonstration of success in a leadership position for a minimum of one (1) year preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment: This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets and fax machines.
