Our platform helps them make informed decisions by centralizing access to billions of data points on fund managers globally. We're looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer with a focus on Python back-end and React front-end development to join our team and help us build a scalable, maintainable platform. About the Job Old Well Labs is seeking a Full Stack Engineer! In this role, you will contribute to every level of our product, from designing and implementing scalable back-end solutions to crafting front-end user experiences. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to ensure the timely delivery of new products and features. What You'll Do Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain our web-based intelligence platform using Python and React. Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with engineers and the management team to ensure timely delivery of new products and features. Write Code: We're a small team, so we expect everyone to be hands-on. A solid understanding of Python and React is a must. Develop Business Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of our business domain to ensure that the software aligns with OWL's goals and objectives. Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest technologies and industry trends to drive innovation. Example Project You Might Lead Return Uploads and Analysis: Develop a feature for users to upload and analyze their own data alongside OWL's own data. This integration enhances our platform's analytical capabilities, making it a critical piece of our customers workflow. As users contribute more data, they gain greater value, increasing product engagement. Responsibilities Design & Implement Solutions: Create scalable and maintainable software solutions with a strong focus on object-oriented programming and design principles. Optimize Performance: Ensure optimal application performance and troubleshoot issues across the stack. Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to improve processes, workflows, and the overall product. Documentation: Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure code quality and best practices. Who We Are Looking For Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience: 4+ years of engineering experience in full-stack development. Back-End Skills: Strong proficiency in Python and associated web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask). Front-End Skills: Strong proficiency in React and front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS). Database Knowledge: Experience in database design, modeling, and SQL Cloud Services: Familiarity with AWS API & Architecture: Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Position Location: Charlotte preferred (hybrid) but remote possible.
