Your Role and Responsibilities Our Software-Metrology team is building a general purpose automation platform to support our product roadmap and R&D projects. You will interface with research scientists, product managers, mechanical/electrical engineers to build autonomous sub-systems. The Software Engineer - General Autonomy role is responsible for: Writing quality code within a standard agile software development cycle Produce and communicate elegant solutions to meet technical requirements Follow generally accepted coding standards Code algorithms developed by the company's Optical-Thermal researchers. Writing automated tests Developing within a modular system architecture Your Qualifications 2-5 years of professional experience You have built applications on ROS2 You have developed Python / c++ applications in a production environment You must understand general concepts for autonomous systems such as controllers, planners, mapping, and perception applications. Additional Nice-to-Haves If you have experience building autonomous systems for; AMRs or AGVs, industrial automation, or medical devices. Experience with MQTT protocols Experience with software simulation, e.g. Gazebo BS in computer science and an MS, or PHD in a related physics or engineering field.
