Global manufacturing company seeks an EHS Coordinator their Nashville area plant. This is a 800+ employee plant. Position will have supervisory responsibilities. This position will lead to the #1 role within 2-3 years Responsibilities Actively leads workplace safety evaluations to identify safety risks and proactively implement injury and illness risk reduction actions. Develop, train and lead the safety and ergonomic committees to generate and implement safety improvements and encourage employee participation for a top quality safety program. Perform safety analysis of manufacturing methods to achieve cost reductions or process improvements. Work with the Manufacturing Engineers in the evaluation of safety equipment and guarding on new or refurbished production or material handling equipment. Monitor and interpret health and safety legal requirement applicable to the facility, as well as other requirements to which the facility subscribes (corporate directives, etc.) Ensures that safety non-compliance with regulatory and other requirements is investigated and corrected. Establish strategic priorities and develop, implement, and monitor safety initiatives. Conduct safety audits and inspections. Ensures the safety management system requirements are established, implemented, a maintained and is in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Self-motivated: The ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety and environmental practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Communication Skills: The ability to listen to, understand and communicate information and expectations clearly and effectively Organizational/Project Management Skills: The ability to be attentive to detail, organized, and manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Analyze/Strategic Thinking: Experience analyzing a situation and reviewing related information to identify problems quickly and accurately, evaluate options, make decisions, and implement solutions. Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: BS Safety with 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with ISO 14001 is preferred Must have direct experience in manufacturing
