Job Summary & Essential Functions: Ensure printed circuit board assemblies, (PCBAs), are built in accordance with the customer's configuration and specified workmanship standards. Utilize output from AOI equipment to assess conformity of PCBAs being built on the SMT line Identify persistent manufacturing defects and work with the Production Coordinator and Process Engineer to implement corrective actions Identify program issues related to false calls and work with the Process Engineer to update the program Accurately input defect data into the MES Perform simple repair of printed circuit board assemblies Perform modification work to circuit boards including trace cuts and adding jumpers Hand-solder SMT components per specifications Recommend changes in documentation to ensure high quality results Provide limited direction to PCB Assembler 1, 2 and 3 personnel Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to accurately perform visual inspection Solid computer skills Ability to perform detailed work for extended periods Excellent attention to detail Ability to read and interpret job orders, specifications, drawings, and assembly instructions Advanced component identification skills Certification to IPC-A-610 Certification to J-STD-001 Soldering skills that meet IPC-A-610 Class 3 Ability to utilize lead and lead-free alloys during soldering Ability to use rework equipment Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions in English Ability to manipulate and work with tedious and small parts Strong decision-making skills utilizing sound judgement and thorough processes Required Experience & Education: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 5 years of relevant job experience Experience with Koh Young AOI equipment preferred
