Summary of Responsibilities: Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights. Ensures responsibility for the quality and quantity of food served. Adheres to all sanitary regulations governing handling and serving of food. Oversees that meals are prepared and served on schedule. Investigates trends and developments in dietary, practices and techniques, and evaluates their adaptability to dietary programs. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Successful completion or current enrollment in course approved by American Dietetic Association. Certificate/Licenses: Current active registration in Philadelphia. Work Experience: One year supervised institutional food service experience planning, preparing and serving regular and therapeutic diets in health care setting. Offers assistance and input to Food Service Director during both the performance appraisal and disciplinary process for dietary staff.
