IT Program/Project Manager

Akkodis is seeking an IT Program/Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading development teams and managing complex programs to ensure all projects within the program meet timelines and milestones. Rate Range: $52/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. IT Program/Project Manager job responsibilities include: Managing end-to-end delivery of programs, ensuring that projects are aligned with business goals and meet deadlines. Overseeing all projects within a program, providing direction to project managers, and ensuring successful execution. Identifying and managing Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) and reporting them proactively to stakeholders. Publishing weekly status reports for the program and preparing presentation materials for senior stakeholders. Meeting regularly with project managers to assess progress, address challenges, and provide necessary support. Facilitating communication within cross-functional teams across different time zones to ensure project alignment. Applying agile methodologies and principles of scaled agile delivery, including PI planning and scrum practices. Preparing for and conducting regular reviews to ensure projects stay on track and deliverables are met. Collaborating closely with business and technology managers to align project goals with organizational objectives. Utilizing tools like SQL, MS Excel, JIRA, MS Project, and SharePoint to support program management activities and maintain documentation. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 8+ years of experience in program/project management, preferably in IT or financial services. Strong expertise in managing projects using Agile methodologies, including familiarity with scaled agile delivery and PI planning. Experience with SQL and database design concepts.
