This is a full time role with PNC bank. USC/GC. Salary depanding on location. Install, patching, upgrading, configuration, tune, and maintain 4 - 6 Years MySQL current version 5.7.23-8.0.28 4 - 6 Years Production support experience 4 - 6 Years Required Skills• MySQL (required) - version 5.7.23-8.0.28 and some older versions at • MySQL 5.7.x and 8.0.x Enterprise Edition MySQL • Complex P1/P2 Incident Management • Work experience with OLTP, OLAP, Staging, and Data warehouse configuration. • Strong knowledge of ODBC/JDBC client/server communication Preferred/nice to have • Ansible • Automation experience with 'shell' and 'SQL' scripting Are there 2-3 screening questions that suppliers can ask prior to submittal and submit with the candidate's resume that would provide insight on their fit for this role (these would not be manager's interview questions and may not apply to all positions i.e., Non -IT)? 1. Candidate Technical and skills profile: Describe the role and the key responsibilities in order of which they will be doing day 1 and frequently followed by those they will be doing as the project/work progresses: Day to Day Responsibilities: • Install, patch, upgrade, configure, tune, and maintain MySQL databases (current version 5.7.23-8.0.28 and some older versions at • Troubleshoot critical performance bottlenecks for MySQL databases • Review and assess the impact of database design changes prior to their implementation • Collaborate with other IT teams and Vendors to resolve complex and multi-disciplinary issues • Work independently and represent database group in various projects • Ensure that databases are monitored, maintained, backed up, and available as appropriate. • Manage database security with an adherence to PNC's security policy • Review stress testing results and provide recommendations to development teams • Automate management tasks, streamline processes, and perform standard administrative functions • Mentor, assist, encourage, and serve as a backup to other team members • Assist in Production releases for Critical Production Applications • Assist for Complex P1/P2 Incident Management as required (24x7 On-Call) • Understanding of MySQL's underlying storage engines and ability to learn new architectures • Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases • Analytical skills necessary to perform troubleshooting of errors and performance issues • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Results-oriented and able to work across the organization as an individual contributor • Ability to work in a rapidly transforming organization • Excellent customer service skills • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts • Technically proficient in assigned IT discipline(s) • Ability to deliver consistent, high quality, cost effective service by handling routine, as well as some non-routine, systems issues Top Must-Have Skills / Candidate Requirements: • MySQL (required) - version 5.7.23-8.0.28 and some older versions at • Strong knowledge of ODBC/JDBC client/server communication Candidate will partner with small support team to support MIS owned databases 8+ years minimum regardless of education
