Senior Atlassian Developer Apex Systems McLean, Virginia, United States (Hybrid) Our top financial client is looking to add a Senior Atlassian Developer to their team! This position will start as a 6-month contract and can lead to direct hire. Duration: 6-month contract to hire Location: Hybrid, McLean, Va. On-site Tues, Wed, and Thurs Overview : In this role, you work with Atlassian, Jira, Bitbucket, and Groovy to maintain a large-scale Jira migration. In addition, this role will expand services and optimize custom functionalities for the migration of 4,000 employees to 7,000 employees. Responsibilities Experienced in the development lifecycle of supporting and customizing Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) to meet the needs & demands of key enterprise stakeholders across the enterprise environment. Supported previous engagements with responsibilities to install, configure and maintain Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), Atlassian plugins or 3rd party plugins, and external integrations with other IT tools/technologies. Experienced in understanding Atlassian Jira workflows, permission schemes, and notification schemes; configuring add-ons and modules to expand the capabilities of the Atlassian stack. Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, familiarity with building CI/CD pipelines, and practicing Test Driven Development (TDD) for writing test case scenarios for automated testing. Experienced in Atlassian Jira Configuration Manager, knowledgeable with Identity & Access Management (IAM) integrations for Atlassian Authentication & Authorization with technologies such as; Active Directory, LDAP, Ping Identity Demonstrated experience in working with both APIs and writing scripts with tooling such as; JQL within Atlassian products, bash, or Python. Has knowledge of Groovy scripting and logic. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) 5+ years of relevant work experience in Atlassian and Jira, Groovy Experienced and/or familiar with Code & Release Management tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD, Helm charts, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Docker, JFrog Artifactory) Required Skills : This is a Hybrid role.
