Job Type Full-time Description Job Summary: The Press Line Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the daily operations during the shift,oversee and is in charge of providing direct supervision to employees to ensure the business operations is ran suitably. Duties include covering for employee absences, monitors employee work routines to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Essential Functions: Manages daily schedules, employee assignments, and approves time off requests from team members. Assigns duties to employees and oversees their progress and assist to task when needed. Ensures machines and presses operate efficiently and proactively communicating to the maintenance department of any breakdown or issues. Operates a forklift to move and stage the finished material in and out of the production area and out to shipping area. Ensures that all production, attendance, behavioral, and safety policies and programs are adhered to, and that weekly production goals are met. Inspects the quality of finished goods, weighing the bases for accuracy to minimize production of defective bases. Maintains records of daily production reports of the press line operators. Plans and organizes the daily workflow of the team. Assigns tasks and responsibilities to members of the team, delegating tasks as needed to ensure the timely and efficient completion of all tasks. Trains employees and ensures that all safety procedures and guidelines are followed including proper use of tools and machinery, personal protective equipment and proper handling and storage of products. Oversees the overall progress of the employees' work and monitors efficiencies. Trains and develops employees to improve performance and productivity. Assists in hiring of new employees. Provides performance management feedback to management regarding members of the team. General Functions: Collaborates with other members of the team to ensure that deadlines are met, and products are delivered on time. Consistently abides by established safety rules, procedures, and regulations including wearing required safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to supervisor or manager. Works effectively with co-workers and supervisors, sharing knowledge, resources, and experience to achieve production goals in a timely fashion, while promoting respect, communication, and teamwork. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Critical thinking: The ability to ability to analyze complex situations, evaluate information, identify potential problems, and make informed decisions that support the company's goals and objectives. Delegation: The ability to assign tasks and responsibilities effectively, based on team members' skills and capabilities, while providing clear expectations, feedback, and support to ensure successful completion of projects and goals. Dependability: Reliability and consistency of attendance, punctuality, and completion of assigned tasks according to established standards and expectations with little supervision. Safety and Compliance knowledge: Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations, as well as compliance with company policies and procedures. Time management skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, plan and organize work efficiently, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and minimizing waste. Requires a flexible work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility. Preferred Education and Experience: An associates degree, or equivalent work experience. At least three years of previous experience in a warehouse environment. At least one year of supervisor experience. Experience using computer systems. Previous experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is preferred. Physical dexterity: The employee must be able to bend, twist, reach, climb, crouch and crawl. The employee is also required to stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, and to hear. Lifting: The employee must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis, and items weighing up to 40 lbs. or more occasionally, with the help of other employees. Vision: The vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Endurance: The employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to elements: The employee will be working in a warehouse environment and may be exposed to varying temperatures and inclement weather conditions. There will also be frequent exposure to dirt and dust. Noise level: The employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels in the workplace for the majority of the day, due to the constant use of forklift and hand-held power tools.
