This role will be based in Macedon, NY. WHAT WE NEED We are seeking a highly effective, data driven, purposeful Director of Supply Chain (Planning and Customer) to provide leadership in S&OP Planning, Statistical Forecasting, Inventory Management, Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) and Customer care. The position will be collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization to optimize and lead improvements in customer care, supply, and demand planning. Accomplished through the development of processes, both short-term tactical, as well as long-term strategic supply chain goals and vision, to support service and financial targets through monitoring KPIs such as forecast accuracy, production capacity, distribution, and finished goods inventory levels to ensure that the objectives[JH1] [TA2] are achieved. This position requires strong manufacturing acumen across the integrated supply chain, with a proven successful history of managing demand and supply, planning, and partnering with the logistics functions. WHAT YOU WILL DO Provide collaborative leadership to the S&OP process and work to balance supply with demand forecasting. Work directly with sales to continuously reduce inefficiencies in the demand forecast to improve short- and long-term production planning to the SKU level. Identify systems and tools needed to implement planning/forecasting structures. Lead re-engineering efforts as it relates to supply chain planning and execution systems. Prepare, analyze, and present operational KPIs. Develop Operations KPI Dashboards for the Executive Team. Lead & become super user of our inventory management system. Turn data into management information and provide this to the leadership team on supply chain performance along with recommendations for corrective/remedial action plans to anticipate risks and enable decision-making. Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning, forecasting, effectiveness, and customer expectations. Integrate these efforts with the sales forecast. Manage and stabilize complex customer relationships to promote partnership and a "yes, how" mentality. Influence and collaborate with key partners in product management, sales, finance, and customer's representatives to identify and address input gaps to minimize forecast errors. Work with various cross-functional teams on projects such as new product introduction, production transfers, and product end of life (EOL) to ensure that the demand and supply plans are aligned to the appropriate product life cycle needs. Perform life cycle cost studies. Manage and supervise staff tasked with creating material requirement plans and/or forecasts, production scheduling, and inventory. Set clear expectations and facilitates coaching and guidance to team members to foster achievement of departmental and company goals. Ensure self and staff keep up to date on technical knowledge and developments that impact roles. Use this information to drive improvements and/or prepare for changing requirements. Inspire, empower, and manage the performance of team members. Cultivate talent by identifying development needs and opportunities and provide training/coaching to team members. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL BS degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations or Supply Chain, or equivalent applicable work experience. A minimum of ten (10+) years of progressive experience in operations/supply chain analytical work as a Supply Chain senior planner/manager. Experience with demand planning and forecasting required; multiple distribution center (DC) environment highly preferred. Experience and ability to own and lead the S&OP process in a CPG or comparable industry. Experience as the top leader of the organization in a combination of customer service, demand planning, forecasting, and partnering with Logistics. Proven experience implementing higher efficiency and effective process across the supply chain process; excitement and appreciation for data and data analytics and its ability to solve business problems. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: High mix, high volume manufacturing experience required; Food and Beverage or Consumer Goods Manufacturing (CPG) experience preferred. Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred. At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is $190,000 to $200,000 annually.
