Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with an award-winning law firm who is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team on a contract-to-hire/direct hire basis. Title: Accounting Manager Location: On-Site - Norfolk, VA Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/year Job Type: Contract-to-Hire / Direct Hire Candidate will be responsible for: Managing the company's financial accounts and preparing financial statements for the firm Work with AP and Payroll teams to provide accurate AP and payroll records Support billing, cash applications, and collections efforts Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close efforts Work with external auditors to give documentation and research as needed. Bank reconciliations, journal entries, GL reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting Ensuring GAAP compliance Other duties as assigned Candidate should have the following experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, including 1+ years of supervisory experience BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar major Experience in professional services preferred, but not required Strong ERP system experience, preferably with Quickbooks Excel background to include pivot tables/v lookups/macros to manipulate data Strong written and verbal communication skills "Can do" attitude and ability to find answers IND123
