Responsibilities: Monitor the airport's access control system and closed-circuit television system Perform communication and dispatch functions including but not limited to Alarm resolution Dispatch of operations Maintenance and personnel calls to service Emergency Notification to Law Enforcement Communicate with roving terminal security officers Reporting actual or potential breach of Airport Security Prepare written reports and records of all events, i.e., discrepancies, security incidents or breaches Maintaining access control to secured areas within the airport Verify personal identification and access badge of person/people requesting entrance to secured areas Qualifications Successful candidates with be motivated self-starters able to maintain situational awareness and vigilance in a fast-paced airport environment. Proficient in the use of radio and telephone communications equipment and procedures Must have a valid State Security License Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States High School Diploma or G.E.D Ability to pass a Security Threat Assessment which requires a 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment history administered by the TSA Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams
