Senior Financial Administrator 3 Job Number: 24453 Functional Area: Administration Department: VP for Research School Area: VP Research Employment Type: Full-Time Employment Category: Exempt Visa Sponsorship Available: No Schedule: Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Posting Description SENIOR FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR 3, Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR), to provide comprehensive financial support and administer financial activities related to daily operations of several OVPR units, including Corporate Relations, Office of Strategic Alliances & Technology Transfer (OSATT Core), Research Administration Services (RAS), Research Development, Research Administration Systems, Cost Analysis and Technology Licensing Office (TLO), under the supervision of the Director for Finance and Research Administration; develop and present complex financial reports, analyses and forecasts; perform monthly and fiscal year-end closing processes; track and monitor all income and expense activities; oversee detailed transaction reports; maintain and monitor unit x-schedules and perform monthly account review and reconciliations; and serve as the back-up to the Senior Financial Administrator for Research Administration for administering pre- and post-award financial activities for VPR. Job Requirements REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance; robust analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to multitask and prioritize work; keen attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); discretion and judgement when handling confidential information; and ability to learn changing technologies related to grants and contracts management.
