The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and oversee all environmental health safety and energy aspects of VELUX Greenwood LLC. This position reports directly to the President of VELUX Greenwood LLC. Primary Responsibilities: Plans, directs, oversees and reports environmental, health, safety, and energy activities and compliance at all manufacturing, distribution and sales facilities in North America. Develops and formulates long and short range programs and objectives, working with company officers and senior staff members. Budgets investments and expenses for environmental, health, safety and energy. Manages environmental, health, safety and energy projects within fiscal and timing constraints. Utilizes corporate KPI's and develops local KPI's. Monitors KPI's for regulatory and corporate compliance. Course corrects as necessary with programmatic changes. Plans, directs, and oversees ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 activities and certification at all manufacturing facilities in North America. Actively participates in New Product Development and introduction including safe equipment design, manufacturing safety, and optimized manufacturing flow. Direct and monitor direct reports to accomplish the goals of the functional area and business plans. Implements approved policies, procedures, and guidelines within the area of responsibility. Monthly Salary Range : $8,325 - $10,410 (Compensation is based on the skills and experience of the candidate) Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or other relevant field of study is required.. Previous experience developing long and short range programs and objectives required. Previous experience with external regulatory agencies is required. Five to ten years experience working with/supporting manufacturing operations relating to environmental, health, safety and energy is preferred. Previous Supervisory experience is preferred. Skills Excellent decision making and problem solving skills are required. Strong time management, planning, prioritizing, and goal setting skills are required. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and create detailed action plans is required. Excellent communication skill, both oral and written is required. Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate people is required. Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office products is required. A working knowledge of ERP systems is required, SAP is preferred. Other The desire and ability to work in a manufacturing team environment is required. Domestic and international travel is required (extended periods of travel may be required on occasion). Ability to project a positive and professional image. Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
