ROLE OVERVIEW As a Vytelle Biomaterials Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our global team that is helping to bring a new certainty to performance, health and genetic progress. Under the direct supervision of the lab manager, this position will support critical day-to-day laboratory operations handling semen and embryos logistics for IVF. Please consider that this position requires flexibility to work early mornings (as early as 4-5am at times) during two very busy breeding seasons. Volume does slow down during the summer months. RESPONSIBILITIES • Checking in semen; entry and exit in our system and to record all the semen or embryo that is shipped. • Accurate data entry and check as well as report generation. • Ensure correct documentation (receiving and delivering) for embryos and semen. • Responsible for data check from clients of donors, semen, and mattings. • Prepare semen for IVFs scheduled the following day. • Inventory management, storage, handling, and tracking (Semen and Embryos). • Manage semen inventory requests and communication regarding semen and embryos from clients and Costumer Service. • Semen logistics (schedule shipments or receiving semen, coordinate with embryo logistics as needed). • Contribute process improvement recommendations and solutions. • Handling, shipping, and tracking of client embryos and semen • Responsible for monitoring the level of liquid nitrogen. • Responsible to keep the semen room organized. • Conduct full semen and embryo audits. • Tracks and inventories shipper tanks, organizing agenda and priorities for semen and embryo deliveries. • Attend any meeting essential for the responsibilities. • Extra duties that will be necessary to help with: o Client, Customer Service, and intra-team communication. o Checking in embryos; entry and exit in our system and to record all the embryo or semen that is shipped. o Inventory management, storage, handling, and tracking (Semen and Embryos). o Accurate data entry and check as well as report generation. o Responsible for data check from clients of donors and mattings. o Contribute process improvement recommendations and solutions. o Handling, shipping, and tracking of client embryos and semen. o Checking storage, ordering, handling, and receiving of supplies, including liquid nitrogen. o Filing and reporting packing slips for accounting. o Facilities maintenance (direct contact with landlord and provider companies such as cleaning, electrician, pest control, internet). o Tracks and inventories shipping incubators, organizing agenda and priorities for oocytes and embryo incubators. o Take initiative to solve the facility problems. o Maintain company assets as applicable (vehicles, guest house). o Attend Health and Safety Committee Meetings and any extra meeting essential for the responsibilities. o Any other tasks assigned by the Lab Manager. • Role Model Behaviors - Engage, enable empower and act on: Vytelle's Core Values Leadership: Inspire and serve and seek the best in each other Endurance: Pacesetter, takes action and realizes results Pioneer: Infinitely curious, catalyst and listens for ideas Love: Contagious passion for customers and our purpose Count on me: Take accountability, Depend on each other and Adaptable. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma. • Technically proficient. • Technologically proficient (Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs). • Quality-driven; comfortable recommending process improvements. • Highly organized and detail oriented. • Shows passion and initiative. • Previous laboratory and industry experience not required, but must be eager to learn. • Flexibility in schedule.
