We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team for the 3rd shift at our meat processing facility. The Sanitation Worker is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the plant are clean, sanitized, and ready for production. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize all production areas, including equipment, floors, and surfaces, according to established procedures and schedules. Disassemble and reassemble equipment as necessary for thorough cleaning. Use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment safely and effectively. Dispose of waste materials properly and ensure all trash bins are emptied regularly. Conduct regular inspections of sanitation practices to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Document cleaning activities and maintain accurate records. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with team members and communicate any sanitation issues or concerns. Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the sanitation team and overall facility operations. Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices, including the safe handling of chemicals. Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work in a cold and wet environment. Basic understanding of food safety regulations and compliance standards. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in sanitation or food safety. Experience working in a meat processing facility or similar setting. Working Conditions: Exposure to cold and wet conditions in a meat processing environment. Use of protective gear, including gloves, aprons, and safety goggles. Night shift hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with potential for overtime as needed. Wage and Benefits Starting rate of $17.25/hr. $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift Opportunity to bid to higher wage position after three months.
