Overview Come join a team of dedicated and compassionate staff at a new 16-bed state-of-the-art Secure Residential Facility in Essex, Vermont. This role is responsible for oversite of administrative and operational duties for the facility. This position is assigned supervising duties, participates in the interviewing and hiring of staff, and is performed under the general direction of the facility Director. Assists in the formulation and recommendation of policies relative to management and may assist in the implementation of policies upon approval. Prepares and keeps complete inventory of all items purchased by the facility and will be responsible for budget development, analysis and ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance with budget limits. Maintains ledger of budgeted expenditures and makes recommendations and requests regarding needs. Serves as liaison with administrative staff concerning office, fiscal and personnel matters. Represents the facility at several leadership meetings and keeps time and attendance records. Prepares and maintains facility records and reports and will have the lead role in the implementation of an Electronic Health Record. This position is part of the Executive Leadership team and holds many responsibilities that directly influence the operations and the success of the facility. Mission: The River Valley Therapeutic Residence (RVTR) aims to improve the health and well-being of Vermont's most vulnerable populations while focusing on psychiatric rehabilitation services and psychosocial treatment delivered in a recovery oriented, trauma informed, person-centered, holistic environment. The program offers a safe space to focus on recovery and community integration for those individuals no longer needing hospital level of care but who are not yet ready to transition back to the community. Environmental Factors Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field and two years of experience providing professional administrative-level services to a business or organization which included an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff; OR Bachelor's degree and four years of experience providing professional administrative-level services to a business or organization which included an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff; OR One year as an Administrative Services Coordinator IV with the State of Vermont. NOTE: Additional professional administrative-level experience or higher will substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative services includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management). Special Requirements For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
