Glen Raven is recruiting for a Sr Accountant which will assist the Manager of Accounting and provide support to the finance team by providing financial data to company leaders as well as various locations that are part of the Material Solutions group. Perks and Benefits Health, Dental and Vision Benefits Short Term & Long Term Disability 401 (k) Retirement Plan and Pension Plan Wellness Program Vacation & Holiday Pay Responsibilities: Responsible for various general accounting duties, including, but not limited to: monthly closings, accruals, account analysis and variance analysis Process financial transactions for general ledger Consolidation and aggregation of financial statements for Material Solutions group Prepare audit workpapers and interact with external auditors Provide timely, accurate and effective reporting and analysis of general and manufacturing accounting activities Work with data providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely Ad-hoc projects and analysis / other duties as assigned Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent education and related training 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting/analysis experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desired but not required. Experience with Hyperion and a fully integrated ERP is strongly preferred Strong analytical skills, experience in supporting business case development, forecasting, and variance analysis required Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Experience with internal controls Experience with international teams in a global environment Experience with intercompany transactions and balancing Advanced MS Office Suite skills; Advanced Excel skills using pivot tables and other functions to manage and report data Ability to think creatively, work independently and part of a team to solve problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and adhere to deadlines Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Intellectual curiosity and is driven by results, required Ability to query and organize from multiple sources and platforms, required Why Glen Raven: Working at Glen Raven allows you to be part of a hard-working team proud to weave connections worldwide with some of the most trusted brands in textiles like Sunbrella®.
