Full-time Salaried Position 7AM-3PM Salary starting at: $87,750 per year *Part of on-call manager rotation schedule Assisted Living Coordinator The Assisted Living Coordinatoris an administrator who supports and manages residents and staff in theassisted living sector of the community. They are also responsible foradministrative tasks such as auditing and compliance managements. Associatedwith the resident care, the ALC handles questions and concerns of the residentsand staff, and offers solutions to enhance processes geared towards providingoptimum resident care. Job Duties include: • Serves as a role model and resource person to all staff in the identification and management of clinical nursing problems. • Handles resident and family issues in a calm and professional manner. Direct problems to the appropriate department and to the Director of Nursing. • Assists and maintains records and reports according to the Community's Policies. • Assists with on-floor orientation of all new employees, assuring that they are properly in- serviced on the Community's Policies and Procedures. • Is aware o f budget issues in staffing according to census. Also monitors nursing supplies and charges. • Makes rounds on a regular basis communicating with staff residents needs and of follow up care. • Encourages Charge Nurse's leadership skills, providing constructive feedback to personnel . Assists in dealing with staff issues. • Checks on all new admission s , reviews orders, assures that all orders are carryout out. • Assures proactive problem solving through the use of the community's concern log and informs DON of such . • Ensures that 24-hour report accurately depicts resident's condition and that adequate care and follow-up checks ha ve been utilized. Ensures that census in correct. Informs DON of any discrepancies/changes. • Meets with staff on a regular basis to ensure they are following proper procedure, instruct them on their duties and to problem solve difficulties on the unit. • Meets with the Director of Nursing to inform her of staff issues, clinical issues and resident and family concerns. • Provides direct care to residents, answers lights and questions promptly and politely. Passes medication/does treatments as needed. • Attends, participates and hosts educational in-services on a regular basis and as needed by staff . • Responds constructively to changes and problems encountered in the work environment and suggests appropriate solutions as needed. • Supervises all Nursing staff to assure quality . Participates in the performance Appraisal process and Progressive Discipline as needed. • Participates in Nurse on Call Rotation to assure appropriate staffing for resident care. • Identification, implementation and evaluation of quality assurance performance improvement projects. • Preparation, review and submission of insurance documentation . • Maintains current knowledge of all state, local and federal guidelines which pertain s to staffing, documentation, safety and procedures of nursing care . • Assessing, implementing and evaluati ng resident individual level of care needs and ensuring that is reflected in resident service plan. • Participates in IDPH annual and Complaint processes Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience working with persons with dementia OR 2 years management experience working with persons with dementia Must have an LPN or RN license in good standing Must have a m minimum of 2 years of experience managing teams Full-time employee benefits include: 401k with up to 4% employer contribution Health, dental, vision and life insurance as well as Flexible Spending Account Generous paid time off package and opportunity for PTO buy back Employee Assistance Program and tuition reimbursement Milestone anniversary dinner and gift Holiday parties and bonus Raffles SSLPH
