SITEC provides support services as required for continuous operation of the Software Support Activity Software Production Facilities including complete lifecycle services for our customers platforms. WHAT DOES A SOFTWARE ENGINEER DO? The Software Engineer will analyze and solve complex software and system issues, focusing on applications, design, development, and network problems. They will manage software, integrate systems, enhance existing computer systems, and review capabilities, architecture, and cybersecurity. The role includes evaluating various software sources and acting as a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will work with the specified departments and development teams to design and develop AR/VR capabilities, document software interfaces, and formalize development plans for mission-critical systems. Senior level person will be required to oversee the efforts of less senior staff and be responsible for all efforts of staff assigned to a specific job. The Software Engineer, Senior will be required to ensure project procedures and controls are followed by managing, manning and staffing project efforts while leading problem resolution efforts. Active Top Secret clearance at time of application for Senior consideration Active Secret clearance at time of application for Journeyman consideration Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or related discipline with ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc.) certification. J ourneyman -At least five (5) years of software development experience , performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and software testing in a corporate or governmental Software Development Environment. Senior -At least ten (10) years of software development experience , performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and software testing in a corporate or governmental Software Development Environment. Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility. Degree is REQUIRED, neither an associate degree nor additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software and enhance existing software capabilities and work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements. Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews evaluating work products to Government standards and participate in all software life-cycle reviews from requirements analysis, preliminary design, detailed design, integration, and testing. Certifications COMPTIA Security+ Linux OS Windows OS 8570 Compliant Tech Stack Proficient in C# or similar object-oriented programming language Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine Experience with version control systems such as Git Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing platforms Join our team today!
