Overview: As a Staff Accountant at The Tustin Group, you will play a critical role in the daily accounting operations and contribute to our best-in-class finance and accounting team. This role will focus on processing the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate transactional records, support during year-end and other audits, create and analyze financial reports. This opportunity provides growth for someone who demonstrates strong accounting skills, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Key Responsibilities: • Process daily banking transactions • Assist in ensuring accurate and timely monthly accounting closing process • Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy • Assist with Intercompany transactions, expense reimbursement, and payroll • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies • Provide support during internal and external audits • Prepare journal entries pertaining to month-end close and regular business operations • Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business operations • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy • Other Ad hoc duties as assigned Candidate Qualifications and Attributes: • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field • 1-3 Years of accounting experience preferred • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Understanding of US GAAP principles • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong software and excel background • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 5%)
