Xometry is looking for a content strategist to join our marketing team to focus specifically on our Thomas brand. We're seeking a candidate with excellent writing and editing skills who can create compelling supply chain and procurement news, articles, and social content for a B2B audience of manufacturers, suppliers, and engineers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate would be located in the Washington, D.C. area, but we are open to remote candidates. Responsibilities: Manage daily production for Thomas Industry Update, a daily email newsletter. Brainstorm article ideas, assign stories to freelancers, and edit daily content for a manufacturing audience. Develop an editorial calendar of news and thought leadership content for supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing professionals. Edit case studies, video scripts, ebooks, and advertorial content with the goals of accuracy and editorial consistency. Manage a team of freelancers and coach other writers and editors. Create and schedule content for the Thomas brand social channels. You are someone who has: 4+ years of experience in writing email newsletters, social content and/or other marketing materials. Experience managing editorial calendars, assigning stories, and meeting deadlines. Strong writing and editing skills. You've written for digital platforms, and you have an eagle eye for accuracy and style. Experience with standard digital CMS platforms, including Wordpress, Hubspot, Loom, and basic content performance metrics, including email engagement rates. Excellent relationship building skills and an ability to communicate well our marketing team and the Xometry team more broadly History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done Self-directed orientation with the ability to take initiative Superior project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Conveys information with clarity and directness BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience is preferred, though not required Here at Xometry we believe in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
