Job Title: Azure Cloud Solutions Architect Area: ITOI/Information Technology Reports to: Infrastructure Engineering Manager Classification: Exempt Location: Evanston, IL This position is designated as Hybrid - Fully Flexible and expected to work from our World Headquarters office once per month to several times a week. The specific days in the office are determined by managers based on business requirements. General Overview This position supports the Rotary Technology Services Infrastructure Engineering team, primarily responsible for performing the daily duties of Azure cloud design, new product and ensuring the health our all-cloud environments. Role will work with the team in administering a hybrid cloud datacenter environment including on-premises storage an compute resources. The Cloud Architect will join a dedicated discipline team of diverse staff at Rotary International in our Evanston office. The Cloud Architect will work with other IT staff, assorted project delivery staff, and a team in our India and US offices. You Will Have Experience with some or all these cloud concepts: Infrastructure as a Service, Serverless Architecture, Container Architecture, Platform as a Service, Storage, Infrastructure as Code, and Identity and Access Management. Create and review architecture and solution design artifacts. Design DevOps pipelines using Azure DevOps with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for Azure infrastructure. Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or other major cloud computing services is a plus. Architecting and designing solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements. Drive, Plan and Develop blueprints and deliverables that help customers in advancing their Azure Cloud capabilities, involving both new solutions and migration of existing solutions. Experience in architecting and implementing both PaaS and LaaS enterprise solutions. Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing across multiple streams. Experience designing solutions using the Azure suite of PaaS offerings such as Application Gateway, APIM, Azure AKS, Azure AD B2C, Azure Cosmos, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, etc. You Will Be Responsible For Provides expertise and leadership regarding solutions for infrastructure and applications in Microsoft Azure Keeps current on cloud technology trends both in the industry as a whole and with the applications deployed in the client's landscape, including researching, and implementing new and/or alternate. Provides technical leadership throughout the project life-cycle. Provides technical support to the IT team and stakeholders to ensure that cloud-based solutions are functioning effectively and efficiently. Ensure cloud-based solutions are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Responsible for collaborating with IT Leadership, Enterprise IT Architects and IT engineering peers, and key business partners in developing the principles and guidelines for the future-state Cloud IT architecture in alignment with the strategic goals of the company. In this role, you will: conduct design reviews of new and existing architectures, create reference architectures and standards to enable effective solution delivery, design solutions for performance optimization, and design automation solutions for reusability and consistency. Working closely with client operational resources in updating their on-premise practices to include cloud Training and Orientation You will be responsible for helping to train and mentor staff on the Infrastructure Engineering Team, developing/revising procedures, and job aids for the department, and evaluating and recommending changes to increase efficiency and continuous improvements.
