Job Summary The Director of Security serves as a member of the PSEG Long Island leadership team reporting to the Vice President of Business Services and will be responsible for directing and overseeing implementation of PSEG Long Island's physical safety and security operations to mitigate risk and safeguard company personnel, assets and information. The Director of Security will provide governance and oversight and be responsible for successful execution of the PSEGLI's security mission, including incorporating well-defined industry operating standards and meeting regulatory requirements where applicable. Job Responsibilities Collaborating with PSEG LI leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives Implementing security policies and procedures in compliance with legal, regulatory and industry standards Leading a team of security professionals to manage the day-to-day security operations, including physical security, access control, surveillance systems and incident response Directing risk assessment and mitigation strategies, including the use of key performance indicators and other core monitoring tools, and building out an effective Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management structure Developing and leading a robust incident response plan, including coordinating with stakeholders, managing crisis situations, and providing guidance during emergencies Developing and delivering programs and training on best practices to ensure a strong safety and security culture at PSEG LI Governance and oversight of all PSEG LI safety and security programs and operations and coordination with PSEG Corporate Security lead to ensure alignment with Corporate Security mission Job Specific Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree, coupled with post-undergraduate education in Finance, Human Resources, Strategic Management, or Security Management with at least 10 years of relevant work experience with 4 years experience managing a workforce Broad knowledge of the security industry, derived from a prior leadership position in government service or law enforcement, or in a major corporation, directing a progressive, multi-functional team of security professionals Familiarity with the electric industry, i.e., generation, transmission, distribution, customer operations Proven record of alignment with, and contribution to, major private security and industry organizations such as ISMA, ASIS, EEI, AGA, NERC, so as to assure and maintain PSEG LI's reputation as a leader in the security sector, and to facilitate exchange of strategic information Valid US driver's license Desired Master's Degree, coupled with post-grad executive level education, to include Finance, Strategic Management, and Security Management CPP (Certified Protection Professional) (by exam) Broad knowledge of corporate security operations, derived from both formal education as well as experience (minimum 15 years) directing a major corporate security organization. Experience is ideally derived from a combination of prior law enforcement, military and corporate responsibility - for operations outside as well as inside the United States Knowledge of the electric and industry, i.e., generation, transmission, distribution, and customer operations Leadership role, i.e., service as an Officer, or Member of the Board of Directors, of a major private security organization, or industry association Minimum Years of Experience 10 years of experience Education Bachelors Certifications Disclaimer Certain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information.
