Vale Group has partnered with a mechanical contractor in the commercial construction industry, based near Matthews, NC who is actively searching for an experienced Sr Commercial Plumbing Project Estimator to work onsite for an opportunity paying $105k-$125k, based on experience. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical HVAC and/or plumbing systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to develop accurate cost estimates for complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of estimating large commercial MEP projects. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) are preferred. Proficient in advanced Excel as well as Estimation software such as Fastpipe, EST MEP, Tremble, Bluebeam, etc. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Familiarity with mechanical system codes and standards. Responsibilities of the Sr Commercial Plumbing Project Estimator: Develop detailed cost estimates for MEP projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accuracy and feasibility of estimates. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential clients. Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. Maintain and update historical cost data for future reference. Provide support during contract negotiations and project kick-offs. Support as needed.
