Job Title: Material Coordinator Location: Goose Creek, SC Job Description: Vali Inc is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Material Coordinator. As a Material Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within and between departments. This position requires a keen understanding of production schedules, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks according to departmental priorities and production schedules. Responsibilities: Review production schedules and collaborate with department supervisors to determine material requirements. Requisition materials and establish delivery sequences based on job order priorities and anticipated material availability. Coordinate in-plant transfers of materials to meet production schedules. Collaborate with department supervisors for the repair and assembly of materials, ensuring timely transportation to various departments. Examine delivered materials to verify compliance with specified types. Monitor and control the movement of materials and parts along conveyor systems, using a remote-control panel board. Compute the amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of products and manufacturing processes. Compile reports on the quantity and types of materials on hand. Move or transport materials between departments using hand or industrial trucks. Compile perpetual production records to locate materials in the process of production, utilizing manual or computerized systems. Maintain employee records related to material coordination. Skills and Abilities: Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to perform multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Professional interaction with employees, supervisors, leads, managers, and customers. Ability to work independently with sound and timely decision-making skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access. Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Common Access Card (CAC) issuance. Computer skills: excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, VISIO, and PowerPoint. Possession of a valid state driver's license. Ability to operate government-owned vehicles (sedan, club cart, small pick-up trucks). Knowledge of Military Equipment preferred. Required Qualifications/Skills: High School diploma or equivalent. 2 years of related experience; GCSS Army knowledge preferred. Vali Inc is an equal opportunity employer.
